Good web based feed reader, anyone?

I have been using bloglines to keep up with all the good blogs out there. But, now they are closing down. Since that means I have to find an alternative I am out looking at the alternatives.

Anyone have any suggestions?

It has to be web based, handle all the Atom and RSS that the rpg blogs produce, and it has to not be google reader!

Let me know.

  2. My first reaction was to recommend Google Reader but then I realized that you ruled it out. May I ask why you don't want to use Google Reader? Since you already use Blogger I thought you may gravitate toward other Google services as well.

  3. If you're dead set on not using Google, take a look at Feedbucket or Bloglines.

  4. Stargazer,

I use Blogger because "everyone else" was using it, so it was not a very thought out decision.

The reason I don't want to use Google Reader is partly because I think the guys at Google suck at user interfaces, and also because I think the "don't be evil" is bogus don't want to put all my eggs in one basket.

  5. Satyre,

Bloglines is near perfect, but sadly they are ending their service 1st of October. :(

I'll take a look at Feedbucket, but it doesn't really look like what I want (i.e. Bloglines...).

  6. Thanks a lot for the suggestions! Anyone have more, please add them.

  7. I wanted to recommend google reader as well, since I like the keyboard shortcuts and how I can use j to skip to the next unread article and v to open a story in a new tab.

Usability, as in "Vi is usable", I guess...
